Matlacha Park, boat ramp  and parking lot to close temporarily for resurfacing

Pine Island, Matlacha, May 1, 2026 – Matlacha Park and the boat ramp parking lot, 4577 Pine Island Road N.W. in Matlacha, will close temporarily Monday, May 11, through Wednesday, May 13, for resurfacing work.

During this time, there will be no access to the parking lot or boat ramp. The closure is necessary to allow crews to safely complete the resurfacing project. All work will be completed during the closure, weather permitting.

During the closure, boaters in the Pine Island area are encouraged to use the nearby county ramp:

  • Lavender’s Landing, 7290 Barrancas Ave. N.W., Bokeelia
